The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening joins the Nintendo Switch top sellers list

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, joined the Nintendo Switch on 20th September 2019 to make history, achieving, only nine days after its release, the surprising amount of 3 million units sold, both digital and physical, worldwide.

After the official report of September 30th, 2019 in the official Nintendo webpage, where they release information of every trimester sales, we can see that Mario Kart Deluxe 8 remains at the top with more than 19 million units sold, the third place goes to Super Mario Odyssey who lost the silver medal against SSB Ultimate. The fourth place is for Zelda Breath of the Wild on 4th place; the last two mentioned becoming the highest seller editions of their sagas.

The Nintendo Switch hardware sales were also better than expected, with 41.67 million units sold worldwide and an increase from 34.74 software units sold on March, to 187.52 million.

Nintendo has been doing great lately, not just for the quality of their content, but also by its success on the market, we expect things continue to improve, for the more and better games we have, the more fun we get!
